Driving With Daizy was Founded by Riley & our goal is to fill Daizy, the bright yellow VW bus, with new school supplies for kids in need each school year; then fill her with toys for the holidays in December; and fill her with dresses and suits for prom season. We donate everything we collect to non profit organizations.
Community Leadership
After the successful collaboration with the Celebrity Sale 4 Hope, Riley was invited to create this world-renowned research hospital’s first Junior Board of Directors in its 109-year history. She recruited dynamic teens to pan events to raise funds for, and awareness of, the organization and its programs. The Junior Board's innaugural Halloween For Hope 2022 extravaganza was hosted by Raven Symoné and held at LA’s Orpheum Theatre October. The event was a huge success and benefited the Childhood Cancer Survivorship Program, a remarkable program that monitors young cancer survivors through adulthood. The Junior Board is being memorialized in the City of Hope’s Museum.
With little more than an idea and the passion to see it through, 38 years ago a man named Harold Benjamin left his thriving career as a successful attorney to found, along with his wife Harriet Benjamin, The Wellness Community, now renamed the Cancer Support Community-Benjamin Center after joining forces with famed comedian Gilda Radner's Gilda's Club. The center enriches the lives of tens of thousands of people affected by cancer and takes care to ensure that no cancer patient or family ever faces cancer alone. Not only that, patients and their families are never charged for any of CSC's many outstanding services and essential programs that are led by licensed therapists. These programs include support groups, mind and body classes, educational and nutritional workshops, social activities and individual counseling sessions. Riley Jackson became involved with CSCLA's events at a young age and created its 2019 gala video. In 2020, Riley founded its first ever Junior Board of Directors, the first of its kind since the agency's inception in the 1982. The Junior Board helps bring awareness and funds to CSCLA, will work to ensure that the next generation of leaders are aware of and support this incredible organization. One of the first action items on the Junior Board's agenda is to provide some of the "Daizy Drive" goods to benefit CSC families. Riley then co-hosted the Celebrity Sale 4 Hope, a collaborative event with the City of Hope Hospital. She is on CSCLA's 40th anniversary committee and is updating the 2019 video.
